Special Report on Cancer Care: Understanding Purchaser and Consumer Perspectives, Attitudes, and Trends Surrounding Cancer Detection, Diagnosis and Treatment
Insights derived from Benfield's Special Report on Cancer Care will inform and equip healthcare stakeholders to understand and more effectively engage with employers and consumers to develop value-focused solutions.
In addition to using traditional methodology to gather insights from both employers and patients we used a unique virtual focus group approach which enables us to explore and report complexity and nuance in ways that standard questions cannot.
This research is designed to:
- Establish a baseline regarding employer and consumer interests, concerns and perspectives on cancer, cancer treatments and the challenges and opportunities of new advancements in cancer screening, diagnosis and treatment.
- Consider health benefit program and policy implications and solutions/solution parameters to drive better value in cancer screening, diagnosis and treatment including policies and programs for effective screening, Centers of Excellence, adherence and value-focused reimbursement models for treatment protocol.
- Review current and future approaches to cancer treatment access, coverage and benefit design.
- Explore how employers and healthcare stakeholders can work more closely to improve the value of cancer prevention, screening, diagnosis and treatment.
